Maple Monster Bars

These are a staple for the gluten-free Southwell grandchildren. 

They are moist and chewy and oh so mapley!


1/4 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup maple sugar

3 Tbs maple syrup

3/4 cup creamy peanut butter

2 eggs

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

2 1/4 cup oats

1/2 tsp baking soda

3/4 cup m&m's

1/2 cup milk chocolate chips 


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8" by 8" pan.

2. Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add in syrup, peanut butter, eggs, and vanilla.

3.  In a separate bowl, combine oats and baking soda.

4. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture. Stir in candy.

5 Pour batter into greased pan. 

7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in preheated oven until top is slightly golden brown. Let cool before serving.
